indira Gandhi National Open University usually known as IGNOU, Issued a notice dated December 10, 2020 saying that it will elevate the understudies to one year from now/semester.
Because of no stop in the COVID-19 spread, IGNOU has concluded that it will elevate the understudies to one year from now/semester. Already IGNOU postponed the December 2020 Term End Exams till the period of February 2021.
This news is a major alleviation to the understudies who are not ready for the tests because of the immediate or aberrant impacts COVID-19 spread. Numerous understudies were not satisfactory what will University choose. As “People’s University” as it’s slogan IGNOU has unquestionably settled on a choice in the courtesy of individuals.
Although this decision is a relief for mosty students, not for all the students. Students of some courses will not benefit from this decision. Those courses are BED, BLIS, MLIS, BLM, MHA, BSC(N), BCOM(AF), BCOM(CAA), BCOM(FCA), BBA (Service Management), MCOM (MAFS), MCOM(FT), MCOM(BPCG). These courses are offered through MoU with other institutes so IGNOU can’t make decisions for them alone.
IGNOU, in a statement, says that students of UG and PG programmes enrolled in programmes offered through agreements and collaborations with external agencies or approved from regulatory bodies or professional in nature will not be promoted without taking the June TEE exams.
Students who are in Final Year/Final Semester won’t be affected by this decision.
