IGNOU campus placement
The Campus Placement Cell (CPC), IGNOU was established in the year 2005 at the headquarters of IGNOU to act as a nodal centre for all placement related activities so as to facilitate the process of gainful employment for its divergent and distributive learner population available across the country. One of the main objectives of the cell is to provide meaningful employment opportunities to its students as well as alumni at all levels matching with their personal and academic profiles. In fact, CPC works on the premise that the right candidate meets the right recruiter at the right place.
In the present business scenario, companies demand job-ready candidates for employment at the shortest possible time period. The CPC assures logistic support to the visiting companies at every stage of the placement process by making the university infrastructure/resources available to them. The CPC, therefore, acts as an interface between the industry and the students/alumni. CPC also has a plan to strengthen the Alumni Association of the university so that the resourceful alumnus and their affiliating companies may be identified for helping the students for their suitable placement.
The CPC conducts various Campus Placement Drives/Recruitment Drives/Job Fairs and employability enhancement activities throughout the year at the Headquarters, Regional Centres, Study Centres and Company premises.
In addition, CPC is planning to expand its activity base even further by introducing new initiatives like preparing soft skill modules for the students. This activity would enable CPC in providing better placement opportunities to the students/alumni.
A Training and Placement Portal is in the final stage of development and is likely to be deployed soon. The Portal shall be hosted on the Samarth Platform supported by the Ministry of Education. This portal will facilitate registration of students/alumni as well as employers, posting job opportunities, organizing placement drives, etc.
Is IGNOU Degree/diploma valid for govt job/private job/abroad job?
There are two parts of this inquiry. One is around IGNOU and another is around distance training.
IGNOU is a trusted and certify government distance schooling college. It is endorsed by UGC, AICTE both. So there is no doubt of the legitimacy of degree granted by IGNOU now or in future.
The subsequent viewpoint is around distance instruction. Indeed, the facts demonstrate that degrees from open colleges not considered for a wide range of occupations or opportunities. 10–15 years sooner, the greater part of the public authority occupations request about ordinary courses. Right now, this pattern has changed. These days on the off chance that we take a gander at the vast majority of government opening they don’t discuss ordinary degree. They rather say something like :
A degree from a University set up by law in India or a degree perceived by the Government.
In the two cases IGNOU degree are qualified!
Notwithstanding, today likewise you may discover not many government or privately owned businesses like TCS which doesn’t think about competitors from distance schooling. Their number is exceptionally less thus you won’t discover trouble in getting a reasonable line of work with IGNOU degree. Pretty much it likewise relies upon the actual degree.
